Pamala Booker, M.Ed., Infant Family Specialist, IMH-E®, has enjoyed 32+ years of providing services to children and families as well as providing training and technical assistance to early childhood professionals working in early intervention programs, preschool programs, and Head Start programs across the country and the outer Pacific Basin. Pam obtained her master’s degree in Early Childhood Special Education from Virginia Commonwealth University. Pam came to Thrive Birth to Five from the Partnership for People with Disabilities at VCU, where she assisted on two projects: Virginia Infant and Toddler Specialist Network and Virginia's Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health Endorsement. Pam's extensive experience includes the University of Hawaii, Pre-K Special Education in the Oakland School District, St. John’s Community Service's Early Intervention Program, Region III Disability Services Quality Improvement Center, Early Head Start National Resource Center with ZERO TO THREE and the Infant Parent Program at Child Development Resources.
Jasmine Granger
Family Engagement Advocate
Jasmine Granger joined Thrive Birth to Five in April 2023 as a Family Engagement Advocate. Before joining Thrive Birth to Five, Jasmine worked as a family service worker for Richmond Public Schools. Her connection with families and the community has built trust and positive relationships. Jasmine earned her bachelor's degree in human services from Grand Canyon University. She has gained positive connections with businesses to provide resources for the community. Jasmine has a wealth of experience working in the mental health field as well. Jasmine is a strong advocate for families and understands the importance of building authentic and meaningful relationships with families and community. Jasmine thrives off being creative which allows her to flourish. Her creativity enhances her abilities to express herself and ideas. Jasmine’s favorite motto “If you feel life is sinking, try positive thinking.” During Jasmine leisure time she enjoys spending time with her husband Chris and their 4 kids that keeps them busy with extracurricular activities.
Gena Lashley
Family Engagement Advocate
Gena Lashley joined Thrive Birth to Five in April of 2023 as a Family Engagement Advocate. Previously Gena served as a Family Services Specialist for the Head Start Program for Chesterfield County Public Schools where she assisted families in building positive parent-child relationships and strengthening their advocacy and leadership roles. Gena has a background in Human Services and Early Childhood Development, with experiences in working with community non-profits, after-school programs, preschool classrooms, and family outreach. She is a dedicated advocate for families and passionate about providing access to high quality early learning opportunities for all children. She enjoys working in communities and providing support and connections for families to ensure success. Gena is a reader, a nature enthusiast, and love to walk trails with her family and dog. She lives with her husband and two children in Chester, VA.
